About the artist

“Sometimes it is an ordinary moment: a child playing in the sand, laundry on a clothesline, the moment sunlight glistens along strands of hair or the sun glows from behind branches of a tree - I become mesmerized and I need to paint.”

From the time Christine was eleven years old, her family would spend their vacations on Belgrade Lakes in Maine, a place “where it feels like nothing changes and that it never gets old”. It is where her love of the New England landscape began.
